In this project, we are developing an
XML based digital library for COMOPTEVOR, an
organization within the Navy, has as one of its tasks
the testing of new systems (weapons, ships, aircraft,
etc.) that industry develops and that the Navy
considers for purchase. For each program a large
number of documents in various formats need to be
made available electronically for workflow
processing, dissemination, discovery, and
preservation. We have developed XMLCOT, an XML based
language to describe programs as digital objects with
a complex structure that is used to support the
workflow in generating the documents.
