Prof. Chris Boyle
Computer Science Department

Christopher Boyle joined the Computer Science department in the fall of 2008. He received his BS in Computer Engineering from Old Dominion University in 2004, and went on to earn a Masters' degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech in 2007.

A veteran of the USNR, he worked for Ford Aerospace and Loral Aerospace on the West Coast TACTS system before moving to the Hampton Roads area in 1992. Since then, he has held positions ranging from programmer/analyst to network engineer, and associate professor.

Mr. Boyle has worked for ODU in various capacities, and has taught for Virginia Tech and Tidewater Community College - teaching subjects including software design and computer networking. He is excited about joining the CS department as a full time faculty member and the opportunity to teach a broad range of subjects.

His interests include Internet/Web Programming, Simulation, Computer Networking, Database Processing, and Software Engineering. He is an avid fan of college football, and is presently restoring a 1967 Pontiac Firebird.
